Maersk FPSOs continuously promotes a healthy work environment, both when our employees are on and off duty. We perform regular work environment reviews, and our health standards apply equally to Maersk FPSOs employees, contracted workers and third party personnel.

Offshore work can be especially demanding. In the control and engine rooms, a range of automated processes requires constant monitoring. Outside, weather conditions can be harsh due to high wind or extreme temperatures. At times, production tasks involving heavy machinery can be strenuous.

These are some of the reasons we provide working and living conditions that promote a healthy lifestyle - physically, mentally and socially.  On all units, we facilitate communication between employees and their family members onshore, and we seek to provide optimal quarters for relaxation and socialising, as well as fitness facilities and nutritious meals.

Maersk FPSOs’ health policy takes its direction from the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group Health Strategy.

Some of the ways we
promote our health
standards:

Compliance with the principles of OHSAS 18001

Compliance with applicable occupational health laws and regulations

Systematic management and control of health risks

Monitoring health management through surveys and reporting on health issues for improvement purposes

Fostering continuous improvement of occupational health by promoting best practices and by establishing clear objectives and targets
